Glass fabricator marketing: glaziers, OEMs and shops buy by the lite, and they search

Ask a glass fabricator who its customers are and the list is longer than the website suggests: glazing contractors, window and door and other OEMs, shower, railing and mirror shops, millwork and furniture makers, sign and display makers, dealers, and the architects and GCs who specify architectural glass. Each buys differently. Most fabricator websites talk to none of them in particular.

Supply relationships change hands at specific moments

A buyer has a fabricator until a lead time slips, a job needs a process their supplier does not run, a new estimator or buyer arrives, or an architect specifies something unusual. In that moment they search, ask a peer or ask an AI tool. The fabricator that is findable and quotable right then wins an account that reorders for years.

  • Capability pages by process: tempering, laminating, IGU, CNC, spandrel, specialty.
  • Max sizes, tolerances, certifications and lead times published, not hidden.
  • Quote requests routed to inside sales and answered the same day.

Capacity is a marketing asset

A new laminating line, an open shift, a shorter lead time: each is a reason for a buyer to try you, and each is worthless if the only people who know are already customers. Trade newsletters, LinkedIn and plant films turn capacity into accounts.

The account you win this quarter is the reorder you ship next year.

What to do this quarter

  1. Give each buyer type its own page and enquiry path on the site.
  2. Publish lead times and capabilities where a glazier’s estimator can scan them in a minute.
  3. Reactivate dormant accounts with one honest capacity update.
